Managed about 350 miles running in, going ok only prob so far was the JL curly, the bush holding the can split after 50/75 miles good 'eh. Only noticed when I was to tighten head down.
More trouble than it was worth going back to supplier, managed to get a pack of 4 off the net for £9.
Hopefully see you all soon.

playing around this afternoon and this is how far I've got. bought a bicycle speedo £5 from ebay, stripped the casing after trying it on the scoot. The magnet was held on the rim with blutack for a trial and got a reading ok by spinning the wheel. unfortunately the cable is too short so it was onto bodging the housing. led and pcb removed old speedo stripped and face attacked with a Dremmel. Primer (only had high build ) to face just for show and place together. I think I might try with the proper length cable and more time invested in mounting it for a road going trial but it passed time enjoyably and it could look quite good with a little more time and money spent. the £5 speedo..... magnet and Bluetack pick up which could sit on the brake caliper case removed the PCB mastick to hold it onto the facia I will use a hole saw if I can get hold of some old facia to try and make it neater. and room where the trip meter was to fit a low petrol Led, definite possibilities here.
